Fiancé / Fiancée K-1 Visas

Colorado Fiancé Visa Attorney Pascal C. Schunk ● Denver Immigration Law Firm

The Schenk Law Firm, P.C., has a great deal of experience guiding people through the process of bringing the fiancé(e) of a US citizen or permanent resident to the US with a K-1 visa.

Colorado immigration lawyer Pascal C. Schunk has been working in the area of immigration law since 1998. He has helped hundreds of couples unite and families reunite through family-based immigration assistance.

The firm works with clients throughout Colorado, as well as clients in Wyoming, Idaho, and in countries around the world. Contact the Schunk Law Firm to learn more about how you can bring your foreign-born fiancé to the U.S.

The 90-Day Rule

A K-1 fiancé visa holder must marry within 90 days of arriving in the US. In order to get a K-1 visa, you must prove that you are planning to marry within that 90-day period and that you are actually eligible to marry (for example, not currently married).

Immigration attorney Pascal Schunk will explain the procedures for verifying that both the US and the non-US resident are eligible to marry, and the requirements for obtaining your fiancé visa. He will prepare visa application paperwork completely, accurately, and promptly to minimize any problems with U.S. Immigration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Adjustment of Status

For engaged couples or newly married couples who are already in the US at the time of their K-1 fiancé visa application, immigration lawyer Pascal Schunk can assist with the process of applying for "adjustment of status."

Obtaining Green Cards for Fiancés and Spouses of US Citizens or Residents

Immigration attorney Pascal C. Schunk will be glad to explain the ways that a new husband or wife of a US citizen or permanent resident can get a green card.
